Angelina Jole Is A Top Paid Actress

In the entertainment industry there are few actresses that are as beautiful, famous and well paid as Angelina Jole. Once named the top sex female sex symbol in history in part thanks to her signature beauty, she is also famous for her husky voice and full lips. She is also of course known for her relationship with actor Brad Pitt and also for her humanitarian efforts and adoption of children.

Her beauty may be attributed to her mixed ancestry. She is part Czech, French-Canadian, Iroquois Indian, and English. Born on June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, the actress is the daughter of award winning actor Jon Voight. She began her career as a top model in London, England. She studied acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles where she appeared in several stage productions. She starred in five student films all directed by her brother James Haven.

Next came appearances in music videos of artists including Meatloaf, Lenny Kravitz, The Lemonheads, and Antonello Venditti. She then started acting in major motion pictures. Her break through performance came alongside Denzel Washington in 1999s The Bone Collector. Later that year, she starred in the movie Girl Interrupted, a role which would lead to her winning the trifecta of acting awards. Jole won an Academy Award, a SAG Award, and a Golden Globe award for her leading actress in a supporting role in Girl Interrupted.

Angela was paid seven million dollars for Lara Croft and 12 million for the sequel. She earned 10 million for Mr. And Mrs. Smith, 10 million for The Good Shepherd, and 10 million for A Might Heart in 2007. Also in 2007, she starred in Beowulf, a movie adaptation of a legendary story.

By 2008s star turn in the movie Wanted, Angelina was being paid amongst the highest entertainers in the world and certainly amongst the very top actresses at $15 million. In her latest high octane thriller, she earned $20 million for her role in Salt.

In 2001, the young actress was asked to play the lead role in the movie adaptation of a popular video game, Lara Croft and in the 2003 sequel. She initially declined the offer to act in the movie franchise, but changed her mind. The role was later seen as a milestone for females playing a lead in an action adventure movie. For the 2010 action thriller Salt, she was paid 20 million dollars, making her one of the highest paid actresses in the world.
